Kyron, So what does this mean for Sandpiper. Low Rate Federal Loan to replace and repair docs, hire workers ect.
How much red tape will be involved and how long will it take to obtain any money to speed up marina repairs?
Is there hope of new docks with canopies included? I’m sure many of us would be willing to help get things back in order.I know you are working hard to get thing going but it very frustrating. when we hardly see things getting done.Insted of mowing let’s get the piers fixed.
Tim, from what I have been told so far, we do not qualify for a grant but most likely a loan, we are in the process of applying and yes if we get the low or high rate loan we will be asking for new docks and repair and labor costs included. I will have to submit the companies we would like to use for the repair and replace all damaged structures. Its a long process but we do have there attention.
Why wait for the federal money that could take for ever and go get a loan and fix your business now? Just a question. I know its about intrest rates also.
We have many directions to look at, 1. does our insurance company cover any damage? What part of fema do we fall under since it is city owned land and we do house law enforcement boats. Trust me folks I am trying all courses of action . I am trying the loan option two, but the books we had the prior years dont support the loan we are looking for, I am also looking at adding investors.
Dave- Its a lot of red tape.
John- Charlie mows , cause that is what Charlie does, he is not an employee of the Marina, but I can see how that would look. I doubt fema will be granting us money for canopies since they were part of the reason the wind did so much damage.
I would agree a meeting is needed, but until I have the answers to some of the questions above it wouldnt be productive. I feel where all of you are coming from I am looking not only at the near future but the longevity of the Marina. So please bear with me we are all on the same side.
Why is it that we never see more than 2 or 3 people working during the week. Doesn’t seem to be very many people working on a job of this size.
